New born princess of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was born on Saturday 2nd May 2015 around 8.34 am at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital. She is the second child for Prince William (Duke of Cambridge) and Catherine (Duchess of Cambridge), second Grand-Child for Prince Charles (Prince of Wales) and Diana (Princess of Wales), 5th Grand-child for Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip (Duke of Edinburgh). The baby is fourth in line to the British throne, after her grandfather Prince Charles, her father William and her elder brother George. Leaders around the world congratulated William and Kate with joy for the new born baby girl of the Royal Family.

The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge. By choosing the name, the Duke also made sure that his mother’s memory will live on in the next generation of the Royal family, thus making the new baby a living tribute to the mother the Prince lost when he was 15 years old.

The Royal Mint has unveiled a design of new £5 coin to mark the birth of the new princess. It is the second coin to have been released to celebrate a royal birth, followed by the toddler’s brother Prince George in 2013.
