How to Get from Luton to Gatwick Airport
Luton is one of the largest and busiest international airports in the United Kingdom and serves millions of passengers every year. The airport is located in the London borough of Luton in Bedfordshire. The airport is 30 miles away from Central London and has a single passenger terminal.
The Gatwick airport is London’s second busiest airport. It is located in Bedfordshire and is about 40 miles south of London. The airport has 2 passenger terminals, South and North. The distance between the Luton and the Gatwick airports is about 72 miles.
The National Express Coach
The National Express Coach is the only direct link between the two airports. These coaches are safe and comfortable however the journey times takes over 2 and half hours. This coach service is not the best option if your transit time is shorter than 5 hours.
The Terravision Coach
The Terravision Coaches connect Luton to the Victoria station in Central London. Passengers on reaching Central London can take the National Express coach to Gatwick. This option works out to be cheaper but is very time consuming.
Trains
Trains are the fastest way of travelling from Luton to Gatwick. The First Capital Connect trains connect the two places once in every 15 minutes and the journey takes slightly more than an hour.
